New to your site and new to larger compressors with unloaders!!
I am working on a trane compressor (M/N 2e5j65n) with three electronic unloaders it keeps going off on oil failure,(now replaced) but when it is running the oil pressure seems good at about 45psi give or take (above the min35). I've been told that these unloaders are energized to load. when they do energize the amps on the compressor don't change very much staying close to 30amp (RLA is 101).
I guess my question is low ambient conditions, when the compressor is unloaded what is the best way to determine if there is enough refrigerant in the system? R22
