So I have been thrown into a fire which consists of a bad install and equipment I have not touched before. Just trying to understand some things about this trane unit. First I found out that these cassette unit drains where installed wrong the vertical drain was a few inches to long so I keep getting a drain issue that is getting fixed. With that figured out the system is controlled with a trane program via website. This application seems dumb since it is a auditorium but anyway it has a heat recovery on it and a tech told me that this has to stay in auto mode if i put it in cooling it messes up the system??? Anyway it's hard to tell with 3/7 cassettes down on overflow but the temp went from 72 to 76 today when people arrived. Also I was wondering about the site. It just has a desired temp one setting no heat and cool settings. So when it is on auto does that mean if one cassette is calling for cooling and another heat it will work against itself? What's the temp difference? I just want to know about this heat recovery system and if it needs to be in auto mode? Also can't move tstat have to use computer because the overflow locks us out. I read the Manuel which was little help on these questions HELP
