FBII XL-2T Blown Resistor

I've got an XL-2T system on which most functions seem to be operating correctly. However, the low battery indicator started blinking a while back. I replaced the battery, not thinking much of it. After a couple days the low battery indicator was back. Figured I got a dud battery, so I got another new battery. A day later low battery indicator again. Now I know something's up. A voltmeter shows 13.45V across the battery terminals when connected to the XL-2T and ~13.1V disconnected. So I start looking closely at the circuit board and notice that R30 has blown up. :( Attachment 50475 (http://www.doityourself.com/forum/attachments/electronic-home-security-systems-alarms-devices/50475-fbii-xl-2t-blown-resistor-img_8558.jpg)
