In December, I went to plug in Christmas lights in my front outlet. It did not work. I have not had a problem with electrical before. The home was built in 1987 by Pulte. A few things to keep in mind
1. Outlet is not a GFCI
2. The subdivision is on extremely high water table.
3. Electric yard/landscape/pathway light control module used to be in outlet. During a thunderstorm seven yrs ago, home was struck by lightning. Outlet blew off of house onto sidewalk and air conditioner was fried.
An electrician repaired?replaced? outlet, and I haven't had a problem until December. I have not tried back outlets, but none are GFCI, breaker is not tripped.
