I want to relocate a thermostat that is connected to a residential boiler. There are 2 yellow wires coming into the thermostat, one connected to the rh lead and the other is connected on the opposite side on an unmarked lead right below "g".
On the boiler side there are 2 zones. One of the yellow wires goes into the wall from a zone valve and the other connects to both a box on the wall and a red low voltage wire the goes into the wall...presumably to the thermostat for the 2nd zone that I'm not trying to move.
What is the easiest way to identify which of the 2 yellow wires near the boiler is the one that should be connected to the rh lead on the thermostat?
Thanks!
