Hi, again......
I'm doing some research on having a new system installed, I was wondering if it is feasible to run the line sets from the evaporator up 6 feet and then down 20 feet to the condenser.
It will require about 5 bends, but most of them could be a rather soft 6 inch radius.
90 degrees out of evap, then to attic ceiling and about 135 degrees back down to follow the rafters to the outside wall.
I'm looking to get them off the attic floor as they are currently run. They will need to be replaced anyway.
I would assume this will be a moderate efficiency 3.5 ton 410 unit.
I have a couple pics illustrating this, but can't post 'em yet due to forum rules.
Curious if this is possible, or if it would saturate the evap with oil or have some other adverse effects.
Thanks,
John
