laying slate tile on a concrete patio

Hello We are planning on laying some slate tile on a newly poured concrete slab. We have a tile saw to cut the straight edges where needed, but this is a curved patio and we will need to make some curved cuts in the tile. we have heard we can use an angle grinder to cut curves, but are afraid of this for fear of damaging the tile and getting an jagged edge
