AC Contact Problem

First off, thanks to the site monitors and members who make this possible. My family member has an Amana Model no RCC48A2B MFG no P1218507C If the contacts are manually pushed in the Compressor and Fan engage and cool air inside so PASS I hear a click in the thermostat but contact will not engage so auto FAIL The unit worked last year. Removing all power and opening the panel reveals 5 small lizard skeletons hunkered around the connections of the Capacitor Poly (diagram no 0091 at sears parts direct.com) Capacitor, Contactor 30A, Relay Start are also listed
